Any firefox user should be knowing about XMarks (formerly FoxMarks). This particular excerpt from their corporate blog,
says, it’s supported on Safari 4 for Mac, Safari 3 for Mac but not Windows. I think more people use Safari on Windows than Safari 4 *Beta* on Mac. Still, XMarks is not interested in Windows development. Similarly, they have chosen firefox as their primary browser where every feature (including secure password sync) is available rather than IE. With more and more data we use moving to the cloud (read Syncplicity/Dropbox), I feel Windows’ market share to go down in another couple of years. As you already know, Windows market share has fallen below the 90% mark which is a 15 yr low and Mac market share among the premium laptop segment (>1000$ ) is a whopping 66% according to statistics from NPD. No wonder, M$ is afraid and has started an aggressive marketing campaign against apple… Lets wait and see whether Windows 7 is a saviour or their last incarnation…
