We have been watching live TV on Internet and a whole lot of media streaming through youtube, metacafe, and lot others. TVUNetworks (http://www.tvunetworks.com) has been one such website that lets you stream media from many other partner sites.
Recently they released a version of TVUPlayer for the iPhone. (iTunes link). You can watch live TV in many languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi. Tamil is powered by Tamilwire.net I suppose. I normally watch, Sun/Vijay and Jaya TV on my iPhone. The streaming quality is good for a phone. However, it works only when connected over Wifi (3G is not supported as of 2.2.1 software update).
It’s free as of now. Grab it before it becomes a paid app.
